Who Run The World?

As a female-led business, we understand the importance of safe spaces for womxn to thrive. As GIFTED, this Womxn’s Month, we’ve embraced a month of highlighting the womxn within our international community - womxn of grace, strength and ambition. Womxn who prioritise their personal growth and, in turn, the growth of each other and our world. Iron sharpens iron after all.

As GIFTED, we have led weekly virtual spaces for our community to stay connected. We’ve led workshops, panels, and have opened up spaces for our sisters to rise up and lead. We’ve prioritised listening - we’ve encouraged each other to take up space and have checked our privileges by bringing them to light. We’ve also offered opportunities to challenge our comfort zones, with healthy communication of what the experience has been to be a womxn in this rapidly changing world. We’ve danced and, just last week, held space for a gentle yoga flow and meditation under the full moon.

Since we can remember, it’s been a man’s world... because of this, there has been a myth that there is limited room for all of us at the table. Yet, for GIFTED, we’ve been building tables that are designed to hold space for more voices, perspectives, and walks of life. Diversity is in our DNA: we actively encourage underrepresented stories to be told, and have partnered with womxn at greater heights to uplift, amplify and support those stories to resonate further. We have nurtured collaboration over competition, and have created interconnected communities in the process.

So, today, and moving forward, GIFTED celebrates all the womxn within our immediate circle and beyond. Thank you to Womxn Connect for creating safe spaces for womxn in the creative industries to thrive, and for empowering us to challenge the limiting experience of imposter syndrome. Thank you Girls in Power for bringing together womxn of incredible experience to share nuggets of wisdom. Thank you Melo Compass for demystifying the music business and for actively lifting up womxn and minorities - your podcasts are gold! Thank you Renaissance Studios for your haven - your space and leadership is inspirational. Thank you I LIKE NETWORKING for all you do - a powerhouse of resources, mentoring and connections in spaces that are typically challenging to navigate. Thank you Women in CTRL for all the work you do to drive us forwards towards equality. Thank you Camel Assembly for your vision and activism; you’ve taught us that safe spaces and sisterhood does exist - we are with you #MarchingDaily.
