An Evening With Rough Trade Books: SAT 27 APR
Rough Trade Books brings the radical spirit of the indie music record label to the world of book publishing. This evening promises to bring together some of the most exciting talent in literature, music and art - including Sheena Patel and Sharan Hunjan, writers a part of the inclusive collective 4 BROWN GIRLS WHO WRITE, and award-winning authors Musa Okwonga and Salena Godden. Expect a night of sonic surprises, community and visual delights.

Futuretense: [ K S R] + Osquello: THURS 16 MAY
As part of a collaboration with BBC Introducing, The Southbank Centre presents rising stars in its new music programme: futuretense. This fortnightly gig series opens up a platform for emerging talent, whilst offering us an opportunity to experience these artists for free. We’re anticipating soulful stylings from Manchester born [ K S R ], and nostalgic disco, funk and R&B waves from Osquello.

Out-Spoken: THURS 16 MAY
Join us as we immerse ourselves in a memorable poetry and live music night - ‘Out-Spoken’. Hosted by TS Eliot- and Polari Prize-winning poet Joelle Taylor, one of our favourite poetry nights is complemented by a three-hour long masterclass on the 26th of May, open to all abilities and levels of confidence. We’re looking forward to being surrounded by lip readers of the universe.

Long Live Queer Nightlife: FRI 19 MAY
Ready for a bold queer world that reclaims a night of self-empowerment, inventiveness and joy? We certainly are. Editor in Chief at VICE, Zing Tsjeng chairs a panel discussion that explores the revolution of urban nightlife with musician, author, drag queen Tom Rasmussen, and award-winning author Amin Ghaziani.

Judi Jackson: THURS 20 JUNE
In light of International Jazz Day at the end of the month, why not book to see Judi Jackson . As part of Chaka Khan’s curation of Meltdown, the UK’s longest-running artist-curated music festival, captivating vocalist Judi Jackson graces the stage, showcasing her latest release My American Songbook, as well as her own renditions of songs from jazz greats such as Nina Simone, Billie Holiday and Ella Fitzgerald.
