Letting Go with Vicky Pasion

To start the year, I’m proud to announce the support from the MOBOs for my next EP! As we welcome in a new month, I feel that it’s important to take some time to reflect and celebrate our wins - big and small.

In 2021, with the live music industry down and everyone in a liminal space, I took an opportunity to facilitate safe virtual spaces for creatives to connect. I partnered with organisations like Autograph, and Daisie who align with my mission to lead with authenticity, and to be of service to a global creative industry. I centred my art and work around care-led communities, and was featured as Artist of the Week on Mission Statement Magazine, was highlighted in Noctis Magazine, Wordplay and by UN Women UK for their #SaferSpacesNow in the UK Music Industry campaign. I was privileged to have a ‘Seat at the Table’. There is strength in vulnerability.

I released HEAVY, and held a live stream panel produced by us at Gifted, by Nature - it opened up space for Black and mixed race voices, in order to continue to normalise conversations around male vulnerability, cultural expression, creativity and mindfulness. This campaign was Shortlisted for an FEA Innovation Award.

As things opened up, I performed at the Omnibus Theatre, Soho House and Boxpark Shoreditch. I released another record, Let Go, in hopes to inspire us all to breathe deeper. I released visuals and spotted posters around London, as music continues to heal and connect me to more and more people.

To ground me, I went on a 10 day silent meditation ‘retreat’... my annual ‘retreat’ of 4 years - less retreat, more intense bootcamp! I’m vlogging my journey this year with the intention of being more open, connected and brave. Thank you for being on this journey with me!
