Calm, creative, thoughtful. 

How are you being mindful of your health in this season?

I’m journalling as much as possible. I’m stretching and regularly checking back in with myself to assess what I need in that current moment… it could be water, taking supplements, deep breathing or even laughter. 

How have you and your circle been impacted by COVID-19? 

We've mainly been emotionally impacted by the scare and uncertainty of the virus' course. 

How has your work-education-life been affected so far?

Work has come to a halt, since my job is within the hospitality sector. Education wise, my University has converted to online classes and assessments which is stressful, since resources and Internet reliability can be temperamental. I think most of all, this stripping away of a structured routine has caused me to become more disciplined with myself, and assess the areas I require more motivation in. 

When you’ve been outside, what’s your experience been like?

Pretty calm for the most part. I would say I've observed a lot of anxiety from other people though. 

What’s keeping you in a positive state of mind in this uncertain time?

Focusing on breathing, connecting with the body. The health of friends and family. Reminding myself of my ability and talents. 

How are you channelling your creativity in this season? 

Diving into my imagination and whatever I find, expressing that in as many ways as possible. For instance, drawing, painting, songwriting etc. 

What are you grateful for in this season?

Good health. Measures being put in place to ensure key workers and vulnerable people get adequate support and a phone to stay connected. 

What world are you moving towards in this season?

A world/headspace of ingenuity, drive and gratitude. 

For people staying at home right now, any suggestions?

Turn off the news, there's too much repetitive information and scaremongering. Focus on what you have, and continually practice self care in multiple ways.
