Cloud X: A Breath Of Fresh Air

Dubbed London’s #1 Soul and Alt rap festival, Cloud X is back for its third year - this time, in a new scaled up location - Beckenham Park, South London. This Sunday 20th August, the festival promises a day to remember, drawing together good music, connection and the energy of independent creatives. With a 10k capacity, this celebration of UK talent, both live and DJs, has community at its core, hosting a creative village of local retailers and independent food vendors from all corners of the city. This much needed space is a breath of fresh air for culture and underrepresented artists.

True to its values, Cloud X champions a gender-equal line-up, featuring artists like Manchester singer-songwriter Pip Millet; expect cuts from her highly-acclaimed album, ‘When Everything Is Better, I’ll Let You Know,’ and fan-favourites ‘Make Me Cry’ and ‘Heavenly Mother’. This year also anticipates soulful performances from Young Athena, Bea Anderson and Melica on the MOBO Unsung Showcase stage. Immense talents like BERWYN and Kwaku Asante are not to be missed, as well as sets from the incredible Etta Bond, Victoria Jane and Elli Ingram

As the festival’s co-founder Dabieh says, “there is a space and appetite to champion underrepresented people and sounds.” If you’re looking to be part of the next wave - Cloud X is one to catch.
