Ride Waves at Brick Lane Jazz Festival
Weaving on and around the iconic streets of East London, Brick Lane Jazz Festival showcases the freshest artists on the UK’s thriving jazz scene. Over three days, 26th - 28th April, expect to be immersed in a diverse underground festival celebrating emerging talent boldly reshaping the genre. In its third year, the vibrant line up will stretch across ten exciting music venues, including The Truman Brewery, Rough Trade East, Rich Mix, Ninety One Living Room and Village Underground.

Ego Ella May
British-Nigerian songstress Ego Ella May is an award winning singer, songwriter and musician. Incredibly honest, her music is laced with tones of reflective solitude and tales of self-healing, protest, love, loss, vulnerability and more. Ego Ella May’s soul-awakening blend of Jazz, RnB and Neo Soul promises an unforgettable set.
Theo Croker
Adding onto the already impressive roster is Theo Croker - Florida born trumpeter and composer. Already a Grammy and Echo Award nominee, this boundless storyteller has inspirational collaborations including Jill Scott, Wycliffe Jean and J Cole under his belt. Take a moment to immerse yourself to Croker’s Swing, Hip Hop and African percussion.
Tara Lily
Growing up in South London, this formidable starlet draws on a multitude of sounds and genres, ranging from Electronica to Classical Jazz, Indian Classical music to Alternative RnB. British-Bengali musician Tara Lily grounds us with strength and power, as she continues to ride the momentum of her show at Glastonbury and her UK tour last October. Tara Lily is our one to watch!
Ojerime
South-East London RnB doyenne Ojerime is an anticipated headliner whose ethereal harmonies have been tipped by everyone from Giles Peterson to Mixmag. She’s sold out the Jazz Cafe and has captivated listeners in a session for Boiler Room at The Barbican; her timeless RnB hooks are sure to mesmerise.
Afterparty at Village Underground
On Saturday 27th April, don’t miss the official Village Underground Afterparty. Yet again, the takeover lineup promises an unforgettable night, with NTS Radio, Keyrah and Errol & Alex Rita of Touching Bass infusing the night with community and culture. Headlining is India-born, Sydney-raised and London based DJ Jitwam - self proclaimed psychedelic soul savant. A special guest act from NYC will also be joining the bill.
Jazz re:freshed
At the forefront of the UK jazz scene for the last 20 years, Jazz re:freshed has programmed yet another impeccable line up of innovative and exciting talent. Across the three days, artists like Cassius Cobbson, Isobella Burnham, Mark de Clive-Lowe, Zola Marcelle, Hanna Mbuya, Charlie Stacey, Tyrone Issac-Stuart, Between Worlds, Amy Gadiaga will be showcasing their undeniable talent. As a non-profit dedicated to creating fun, inclusive and affordable spaces for the advancement of the music, Jazz re:freshed continues to nurture early career support for artists now making waves on the world stage.
