Looking Forward To: Body Movements

Summer’s in full swing. This weekend, we’re carrying pride into the depths of the season and celebrating everyone’s favourite queer get together. On Saturday 29th July, celebrating its third year running, Body Movements is back - rooted in colour, family and beautiful mayhem, the multi-venue festival is taking over Hackney Wick, London, and its labyrinth of indoor and outdoor venues.

If you’re looking for a major moment of queer club culture, look no further. The festival attracts a unified spectrum of LGBTQI+ collectives from across the UK and beyond.

With a line up of an elevating frequency of Electronic music, including House, Trance, Eurodance and heavy hitting sonics, artists like Techno Princess Taahilah, Gideön and HAAi promise to be turning up the heat. Body Movements will also welcome Queer Bruk showcasing London’s “duttiest” black queer club night, alongside Body Movements regular Sippin’T with their vibrations of Dysphoric sonics.

It’s giving music, art, fashion, and hella attitude - and we’re all for it! Uniting the community further and in support of our trans brothers, sisters and non-binary folk, this year Body Movements have partnered with London Trans Pride as their official charity partner, fighting for freedom of trans lives. With each ticket sale and guestlist donations, Body Movements are actively supporting the incredible work they do. We’re ready to rally around the European dance music movement as we collectively define queer existence and identity in a rapidly changing world.

There’s still time to join the fun for the hottest moment in the LGBTQI+ calendar. See you on the dancefloor.
