Be Here Now: Isabelle Landicho
As the end of a challenging year approaches, we ask our tribe to slow down - to take a moment to be here, now. As Gifted, we are highlighting the inspiring people within our community who have been expressing love through all seasons of a challenging 2020. Despite all of its ups and downs, we shine a light onto the people who have helped to make a tough year brighter, kinder and filled with hope. Let’s take some time to slow down, to listen to their stories, and to continue to grow together as Gifted, by Nature.

Three words to describe how you’re feeling right now: Grateful, present and accepting.
WHO ARE YOU AT THE END OF 2020?
I’m someone who is going with the flow. I’m someone who has accepted the present moment with all its peaks and troughs and embraces them. I’m someone who believes in manifesting your dreams and believing in the universe. I’m someone who has gone through ups and downs, just like everybody else. I’m someone who dreams a better present and future. I’m someone that has grown exponentially this year.
IN A TIME OF INCREASING ISOLATION AND LONELINESS, WHAT HAS HELPED YOU TO FEEL CONNECTED THIS YEAR?
I’ve started to prioritise mediation and my mental health. I now take the time to meditate twice daily, write personal affirmations/manifestations and connect with like minded individuals. I’ve really connected to myself in the deepest spiritual level more than I ever have before.
CAN YOU SHARE WITH US WHAT CREATIVE PROJECTS HAVE YOU BEEN INSPIRED TO CREATE AND SHARE THIS YEAR?
When the first lockdown hit, I did all the shit on my to do list that I’ve been wanting to get done for ages!
During the Black Lives Matter movement, I felt that something had to change. So myself and my friends at ‘The Earth Issue’ started the Freedom Fundraiser to raise money for BLM organisations and raised a substantial amount that we could never even have dreamed about!
DO YOU HAVE A LOCKDOWN LESSON?
I’ve learnt to give myself a break! I always feel the need to be productive and be at my best around the clock. This year has taught me rest and forgiveness, my friends and I always day a flower does not bloom the whole year round and that is true for ourselves too.
WHAT ARE YOUR LOCKDOWN BLESSINGS?
I’m grateful for my health, the health of my loved ones, my home and the sense of security that comes with it as well as having work in a creative field amidst the pandemic when so many are struggling.
AS 2020 COMES TO AN END, AND WE WELCOME IN A NEW YEAR, CAN YOU SHARE WITH US SOME RECOMMENDATIONS TO COSY UP TO?
